Glavin Gordon Clements and Koskie Minsky LLP Form Strategic Affiliation

Koskie Glavin Gordon is formed

Glavin Gordon Clements is pleased to announce the formation of a strategic affiliation with Koskie Minsky LLP.  The affiliation brings together two leading law firms, both committed to protecting and enhancing the interests of employees and trade unions, to create a truly full service trade-union side law firm.  The new affiliated firm will be known as Koskie Glavin Gordon reinforcing the relationships that have existed between the firms’ lawyers for a number of years.

“It was our desire to fill a void in the BC market by providing the only “full service” Union-Side firm Vancouver has to offer,” said Partner Tony Glavin.  “We didn’t choose a Toronto firm based on its location but rather a firm that could bring a complimentary practice to BC that had a standard of excellence.  That was Koskie Minsky.”

“Our clients will be able to come to us for all of their legal needs.  They will have the support of a very large cross section of lawyers who are recognized experts in all areas of the law that impact our clients,” Glavin added.

Koskie Glavin Gordon brings the expertise of over 50 lawyers to clients across Canada with experience in labour law, pensions and benefits, insolvency, class actions, human rights and employee-side general litigation.  Through the new affiliation, they will deliver services from offices based in Vancouver and Toronto.

“We believe Gordon Glavin Clements aspires to the standard of excellence to which we also aspire, and is, like Koskie Minsky, committed to protecting and advancing the interests of employees and trade unions,” commented Murray Gold, Managing Partner of Koskie Minsky LLP. “Through Koskie Glavin Gordon, trade unions and employees will get the best of two firms. We will see issues through two lenses, and bring the best ideas from different parts of the country to bear on the challenges that confront us all.”

Gold added, “British Columbia is a dynamic jurisdiction, with much to offer the rest of Canada. We are excited to be part of British Columbia, and to contribute to its success.”

Lawyers from Koskie Minsky LLP have been called to the BC Bar and will be regularly on-site at the Vancouver office of Koskie Glavin Gordon.
