Koskie Glavin Gordon is pleased to welcome Kirby Smith as an associate specializing in labour and human rights law to the firm.
Kirby brings a diverse background to the firm. While studying law at McGill University, she clerked for the Superior Court of Québec in Montreal. She completed her articles for the BC Government and Service Employees’ Union where she represented the union at mediation and arbitration. Kirby has also worked as a Crown Prosecutor in Alberta and as an Industrial Relations Officer for the Employment Standards Branch.
Outside of work, Kirby sits as a board member of Strathcona Health Society and Cheetah Conservation Fund Canada. She is a committed volunteer with Access Pro Bono BC’s Mental Health Program.
